August meeting

Hello Ladies,
We hope that you are looking forward to tomorrow’s meeting, 7.30pm at the Village Hall, which will be filled with fun and laughter, followed by a homemade Cream Tea. There will be the opportunity
for all to join in so do please come along and enjoy the evening with us. No need to bring a mug but you may wish to bring an apron. Thank you.

The Book Club Ladies are currently reading Citadel by Kate Mosse and meet at 8pm at the Manor Pub, 28th August, to review. All welcome – even if you haven’t read the book!
Reminder – October 9th is the next Group Meeting at Kingsbury Methodist Hall, 7.30pm, we are helping by looking after the competition table, knitted mittens or socks. All support welcomed.

Fantastic news, we have a confirmed booking for our centenary meeting, June 17th 2015, of Julie Summers, author of Jambusters, the story of the Women’s Institute in the Second World War.
Julie has been a full time writer since 2004 and is speaking at Denman College later this year. She is currently involved in a most exciting development in her career which is the dramatisation of her book by ITV, which will be televised next year. This is an unprecedented opportunity for us all and we hope that the meeting will be well attended by Members and Guests alike.
Kind Regards,

Fillongley Lite WI Committee
